The oldest traces of settlements in the area of Jadranovo originate from the early Stone Age. Archaeological site Lokvišće, located in the Lokvišće bay, which is worth visiting, from Roman times with restored remains of the building, which is the oldest cultural monument in Jadranovo. A large number of broken amphorae found in the site, suggesting the existence of small ports and warehouses. In the Lokvešće bay there is also a natural phenomenon - a medicinal mud with balneological quality and used to relieve rheumatic problems. In the 8th and 9th centuries the area was inhabited by Croats from Dalmatia. Settlement is on the map from 1426 marked as St. Jacob. Town has that name until 1954, when citizens on a referendum (communist), choosing between 5 offered names, decide for Jadranovo. A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMODATION IN JADRANOVO Jadranovo is a small fishing willage nearby the tourstic little town Crikvenica(8 km).The airport of Rijeka on the Island Krk, is just 4 km distant.It is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Jadranovo is surronded by forest and the nature is very well preserved.There are walking paths (with a dog or without it) and there is a possibility to jogging. The surrounding is quiet and peaceful. There is no traffic and there is a beautiful natural beach. It is the ideal place to relaxas well as for children to play. There are many interesting destinations for one-day trips and entertainment(within the range of 10-30 km) for example: the island of Krk, the Istrian peninsula(30 km), the port/town of Rijeka(18 km), a well known summer resort Opatija(20 km), the mountains of Gorski Kotar (30km), the Plitvice lakes etc. Pets allowed(additional payment 5 €/day). The air conditionin is payed depending on the days used(5 €/day). The distance from the beach is 70m, to the shop 200m , to the restaurant cca 250 m. The beach is natural gravel, lenght 150 m which is reached by 120 steps. There is a fast food snack bar. Bathing possible along through whole coast to the centre of the place. In the city of Crikvenica are: Various cultural contents: museums, events, concerts The diving centre and the tennis court. Larger shopping centers are also in Crikvenica. A boat rent, bike rent, restaurants, cafes, pastries, terraces, various shops etc. There is a possibility of day trips(excursions) by car as well as organized day trips by smaller tourist ships from the port Crikvenica (along the coast and the islands). THE DESCRIPTION OF APARTMENTS There are two apartments on the first floor. They are identical. AP1 with the view on the sea(on the southwest ) and AP2 on the northeast.Their size is about 35 m2 for each.The access to the first floor is by separate, outer steps and there is a separate entrance.The apartments are on the opposite sides of the house therefore completely separated. There is a cca 6m2 balcony and a loggia of cca 4x2m with an awning of each. AP1 has a sea view while AP2 has a view to the shipshaped garden, the rear street and in the background the mountain range of Gorski Kotar can be seen. Each apaertment consists of a living room cca 20m2-there is a kitchen in one corner, the bedroom the bathroom and the toilet. There are two extandeble couches , a tea table, a table and chairs in the living room as well as the cupboard-wardrobe unit, a TV and a radio. There is a sliding glass door to the loggia with the awning and to the balcony as well. The kitchen is completely furnished and wquiped: a gas-electric cooker with a range-hood, a fridge, a freezer, a coffee maker,a toaster , a water heater, a microwave oven and everything needed to prepare food as pots and pans, plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery, dish cloths-for 6 persons. There is a master bed with night tables, a built in big wardrobe, dressing table with a mirror and drawers in the bedroom. There is a shower, cupoboard , a washbasin with a mirror in the bathroom.There are towels, a hair dryer etc. The air conditioning is provided as well as satelite Tv, ViFi, and central heating(hot water unlimited) There is a parking place for each apartment.
